From what I remember, we wanted to adapt to the modern trend of making announcements via broadcast, which ended up being a smooth decision. When it was time to choose the name of the show, I casually suggested, “What about something like ‘Freshly Picked Vana’diel,’ for example?” I wasn’t expecting them to go with my lighthearted proposal, and I haven’t been able to shake off a sense of uneasiness about the name since.
Nowadays, text alone isn’t enough to share update information, and I believe broadcasts to be an excellent method of conveying the intentions behind each update, or reasons why we can’t or won’t make certain changes. For each episode, we tried to find the sort of topics that Mr. Matsui and Mr. Fujito could provide unique insight into, and eventually settled on the style we have today. We’ll continue to bring information your way in this manner! (Kazuyoshi Mochizuki, Lead Community Planner)
